Music bootcamp for rockers aged 12 to 21
Are you between 12 and 21 years old and ready for an unforgettable summer full of music, fun, and rock ’n’ roll? This year, De Rockschool is hosting the ultimate music camp for young talents who want to take their passion for music to the next level! From August 17 to 21, 2026, we’ll head to De Kluis in Sint-Joris-Weert for a week of music surrounded by nature. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, participants will be placed in real rock bands and, through band lessons and musical workshops, prepared for a spectacular final concert at De Klinker Club in Aarschot. What does a music camp look like?
Our legendary music camp offers everything a young rocker or band member needs to grow and enjoy themselves. During the day, music and band lessons take center stage, supplemented with creative workshops. In the evenings, musical activities provide relaxation.
Band classes
Together with your brand-new band, you’ll work daily during band rehearsals under the guidance of a personal band coach on the repertoire for the final concert. Each band is made up of a mix of vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and piano. Bands are assigned at the start of the camp, taking into account your preferences (genre, age, and experience) that you can indicate during registration. Do you play a different instrument? Feel free to sign up! We can’t make any promises, but we might be able to find a band that suits you.
Music classes
In addition to band lessons, you’ll also receive individual guidance to refine your part. Stuck on a riff, solo, or chord progression? Or do you have general questions? During the individual instrument lessons, you’ll get personalized tips and solutions. There are also group lessons per instrument, focusing on theory and technique, covering time signatures, scales, harmony, as well as warm-up exercises and performance preparation. Our professional coaches, all experienced musicians and instructors, are ready to help you tackle any musical challenge.
Musical workshops
Each year, our coaches choose their own internal and external workshops, which always leads to exciting surprises. Musical topics such as songwriting, vocal fry, band arrangement, vocal techniques, or shredding have all been featured in the past. Sometimes it gets more technical, with workshops on instrument maintenance, home recording, or PA systems. There’s also plenty to explore beyond music: think social media, photography, band management, or even relaxation exercises and meditation. The workshop lineup changes every year, so you’ll have to be at camp to find out what’s on the program this time!
Evening activities
A summer camp isn't complete without evening activities, and at Rockkamp, they're all about music. Our two brilliant instructors create surprising activities every year that are always a resounding success. Think of a campfire evening, a karaoke, a music quiz, an open stage, and much more.
Professional accommodation
During Rockkamp, participants can count on a professional setup and crew. Our experienced coaches, monitors, and technical team ensure a safe, inspiring, and well-organized week. From rehearsals to performances, everything is supported by high-quality audio and lighting equipment. Meals are prepared with care by our own kitchen team, and a photographer captures the best moments along the way. All photos on this page were taken during the Rockkamp.
Price
This five-day music bootcamp (including meals and accommodation), packed with musical activities, workshops, and a final concert, costs €625 (€605 for students of De Rockschool).
For which rockers?
Do you dream of playing in a band and performing a final concert in front of a sold-out audience, or do you just want to experience the best music camp in Leuven? Then make sure to sign up! Rockers between 12 and 21 years old with at least one year of music experience are welcome. You don’t need to be a student at De Rockschool to join. Already have your own band? Perfect! Work on your own songs, expand your repertoire, tighten your performance, or learn how to book gigs. Just register all band members and mention it in your registration.

Final concert
The camp will conclude on August 21 with a spectacular final concert at Jeugdcentrum De Klinker (Demervallei 14, 3200 Aarschot), where all rockers and bands will showcase their new skills and set the stage on fire! All parents, family, friends, and music lovers are more than welcome to come and cheer for their rock stars. Doors open at 6:00 PM, the concert starts around 6:30 PM, and is expected to end by 9:00 PM.

What after camp? Band lessons!
After such an amazing week, you might be wondering: what’s next? Fortunately, your musical journey doesn’t have to stop here. With your new band, you can continue rehearsing and build your own setlist with new covers or even original songs. De Rockschool occasionally provides access to a band room and helps guide you toward further rehearsals or performances.
Loved the guidance from the coaches and the camp atmosphere? Then our band lessons might be perfect for you. Just like at camp, you’ll play in a fixed band, work weekly with your band coach on new music, and prepare together for a show at the end-of-term concert, 'Rockschoolrock'.
And anyone who prefers the pace and energy of Rockkamp is, of course, very welcome to join again next year!
