Drums
Matthias
My name is Matthias, and I've been playing drums for as long as I can remember. I'm currently studying drums at PXL Music, and I'm excited to share my passion with you. In lessons, we'll work at your pace, with or without a score. Want to improve your technique and rhythm, or just have a blast playing drums? Anything is possible! We'll start with your favorite songs and work together to develop your own style and playing experience.

You might know me from the Leuven band Onionfuzz. I’ve been drumming for 15 years and am studying Jazz Drums. In my lessons, I focus on technique, feel, and rhythmic fundamentals so you can explore the drum kit your way. I feel at home in (psychedelic) rock and jazz. Drumming is truly fun when you develop independence and poly-rhythms: “It doesn’t matter what you play, as long as you… groove!”
Luka
As a recreational drummer, I guide beginners through their very first beat on the drumhead. We get to know the drum kit, discover what kind of drummer you are and which music suits you – all at your own pace. My focus is on groove, rhythm, and playing together – in short, on building a solid foundation. With my years of experience in bands such as she bad, Gone Son, Club Chaud, and Brik à Brak, I can help you find joy in making music, both with and for others.

Rocking out to the Foo Fighters? Or would you rather swing in a jazz setting? If you want to learn the ins and outs of pop, rock, funk, hip-hop, jazz, and more, you're more than welcome! During my jazz drum training at LUCA School of Arts, I immersed myself in the art of teaching. Do you need focused and structured lessons? With my experience as a musician and teacher, we can learn from each other in a warm and supportive environment!

Rock, pop, funk, jazz, R&B, salsa, ... You name it, I can learn you any genre! Together we will look at your skills and practice further so that you can play all your favorite songs. My main focus is to put exercises into practice by playing along to your favorite music. I want to share the joy of drumming with everyone. You can see me play live at 'Isadore' and 'Oclis' and hear on some recordings of '2 Times Nothing'.
Emilie
My name is Emilie and I am studying music therapy at the Lemmens Institute. Within my studies I mainly focus on drum improvisation, where we break away from the score and learn to find our own way on the drum kit. In addition to my classical drum training, I feel at home in all kinds of music genres. Whether you want to learn to play drums with or without scores, or you are already an advanced musician who would like to push your boundaries, I will help you with discovering your perfect drumming path.
